Experienced with sublimation - glad to help out here

Postby toonsign » Fri Apr 10, 2009 3:30 am

Good afternoon,

I've been printing sublimation ink heat transfers sice 1987 and hope I may be able to help answer any questions that may be asked here.

In addition to printing and using sublimation ink transfers, I also do inkjet printed heat transfers (since 2000) and may also be able to help about using these type transfers onto t-shirts, mousepads, etc.

I also operate my own online school where I teach people how to print mousepads, coasters, t-shirts, ceramic tile and more.

Glad to help answer some of your questions.

I am having issues with pressing mousepads. I seem to get a lot of saturation, particularly greens. The clarity also suffers. I use SubliJet on an Epson 1400. I'm pressing @ 400 degrees for 40 seconds. I use the High Speed setting, instead of the High Quality on my power driver. I wait about 10 seconds to remove the mouspad from the print sheet after taking off the heat press. Any hints? Thanks.
